You’re not alone. We’re walking this journey with you.

If you’ve landed here, chances are you're supporting a young person living with complex mental health challenges or a psychosocial disability. It’s a journey filled with love — and sometimes, it’s overwhelming! You give everything, but it still feels like no one sees the whole picture.

We do see the whole picture.

We know what it’s like to face cold, clinical and complex systems that don’t always listen, to search endlessly for guidance, to wish someone would say, “I get it.”

That’s why everything we offer is grounded in peer-led resources and support — practical tools, shared stories, and real strategies from those who’ve been there too.

Let’s navigate this together.

Testimonials

“At a time when I was starting to lose hope and felt particularly isolated, contact with Raising Minds was much needed and appreciated. The workshop environment was inclusive, supportive and leaders and other attendees were quick to share advice and compassionate understanding. I highly recommend it – and will be returning in future. Many thanks, Virginia.”

Parent of a Young Person - Brisbane

“This kind of workshop helps people connect with others who share difficult circumstances. It also allows the individual to feel less alone. Brainstorming different services that may assist our children and build upon our understanding of these services. The session is full of helpful information shared by lived experience peers in a psychologically safe environment.”

Health Professional - Brisbane

“Facilitators created a judgement free environment where everyone had the chance to share and felt comfortable to share….very helpful and well organised and yet it was a relaxed environment.”

“Understanding of the system and the variety of barriers that individuals & families face when trying to access it. I will come away from this workshop feeling supported and given the tools to carry on with helping my son.”

Parent of a Young Person - Sunshine Coast

“It was very helpful to me, because those ladies had so much experience to pass on, and I think that’s the best for someone new, you know? … Because they have gone through it themselves. But there’s also something really magical about having a like-minded group of people in the room, because normally, you’re so isolated, and when you finally get someone and you go “that happened to me too” there’s a feeling of connection and community.”

Mother of a Young Person - Sunshine Coast

“It was just what I needed. It just came at the right time for me, um, and I was happy to get any information I could to help me navigate my son to where he needed to go – for him and for myself as well, because I was just lost. If I can’t help my son, I feel… I feel like I’m not doing the best that I can as a mum, or as a carer.”

“I wish my parents had known this stuff while I was in crisis.”
