Free peer-led Speaking Their Language workshops for parents, carers, families and kin of children and young people with complex mental health needs.

When a young person is struggling, it can feel like you’re speaking different languages. This practical workshop explores why communication can become so difficult, how ‘survival brain’ and neurodivergence can affect the way young people respond, and strategies to help reduce conflict, strengthen connection and support more positive conversations. Join us online or in person and connect with other parents, carers and families who truly understand.

View our August calendar below to find an in-person workshop near you or join us online from the comfort of your office or home!

“There’s something really magical about having a like-minded group of people in the room, because normally, you’re so isolated, and when you finally get someone and you go ‘that happened to me too’ there’s a feeling of connection and community.”
